Foodies,
winos, beware! You may never want to leave. Marlborough is becoming
known as a gourmet paradise and it’s not hard to see why.
With its numerous wineries, restaurants, cafes and producers of
everything from olive oil to boutique cheese and fruit brandies,
our Mediterranean climate provides much to tease and inspire the
palate.
Cranbrook Cottage Culinary Tours offer tailor-made excursions around
some of the region’s top epicurean experiences. Whether you
want to meet local winemakers, experience an organic salmon farm
or sample some specialty capsicum and chillies, we can arrange a
trip to suit. Simply contact
us for more details.

Recipe:
individual fruit crumbles
Use any seasonal fruit, for example tamarillo, apple, peach, rhubarb,
apricot.
1. Place lightly poached fruit in little custard pots or ramekins.
2. Add butter to homemade citrus-flavoured granola to make the crumble
topping.
3. Bake until fruit bubbles.
4. Serve with homemade greek yoghurt.

During your stay you are most welcome to wander
at leisure in our extensive potager gardens, collecting some home-grown
veg and herbs for your meal.
Did we mention the breakfast? Quite simply, it’s become a bit
of an institution. Delivered to the cottage on a tray complete with
white linen and fresh flowers, your typical Cranbrook breakfast is always
exquisitely fresh, using seasonal produce.
